Each is fully furnished - four cottages house 6 guests and two sleep 4. See below for amenities, house rules, and additional considerations.

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Please note, the lake level is historically low (as of March 2024). All but two boat launches on Canyon Lake are closed as a result and access to the lake is limited.

As the property boasts the perfect combination of convenience and seclusion, wild things abound. We’ve seen those that slither, sting, stink, spray and graze so be aware of your surroundings and who you share it with.

​

When the lake is full, it is a short hike to the water from the cottages (about 50 - 60 yards) on uneven terrain. We provide a utility cart for hauling chairs, coolers, etc.

​

We recommend wearing shoes at all times. Lifejackets/water shoes are recommended while enjoying the water as well as anything else you love to lake with – floats, fishing gear, kayaks, paddle boards, sunscreen, canopy, the works! 

​

Canyon Lake is owned/managed by the US Army Corp of Engineers which means that the shoreline is open to the public – you may be sharing space with folks who have accessed the shoreline from the nearby boat launch.

​

What to bring:

  • toiletries (we do have a few travel size available) and sunscreen

  • your favorite coffee and filters (one brew, a few filters and sugar/sweeteners are provided)

  • charcoal/foil if you plan to grill

  • Netflix and/or Hulu passwords -- accessible from the Smart TV (don't forget to sign out when you leave)

MILLIE'S RULES

  • Check in 4:00 p.m. | Check out 11:00 a.m.

  • Six guest maximum in cottages 3-6; four guests in cottage 2.

  • 2 cars per cottage or a car and boat; please do not drive/park on the grass.

  • Please keep the AC at 68 degrees or above at all times.

  • We are a family-centric haven. As such, we ask you respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum between 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

  • While we love our furry friends, Millie's Waterfront is a no pets property.

  • Whatever you take to the lake, please bring back from the lake – help us keep it beautiful and litter-free by bagging all trash and placing it in the receptacles provided. And please, no glass containers. 

  • We're on a septic tank and all that entails - please flush only toilet paper.

  • Please use the provided, specific towels to remove makeup.

  • No fireworks or open fires are permitted on the property or along the shore. The fireplace is decorative only. 

  • No smoking inside the cottages. 

  • No launching motorized watercrafts or use of ATV/motorized vehicles on the property.

  • No travel trailers allowed on the property.

  • No hunting, shooting or archery on the property.

  • No fires on the property (other than in the BBQ pits)

  • For check-out, please:

    • wash and put away all dishes​

    • leave wet towels hanging on the hooks

    • take out the trash

    • remember to log out of any accounts on the SmartTV

    • set the AC to 78 and close the blinds
